It is their job to carry out the actions of government. The new term limits were set in 2013 and do not apply retroactively. The President has the responsibility of appointing Cabinet members. It is their job to carry out the actions of government. In November 2017 the 93 year old president resigned and Emmersion Mnangagwa was sworn in as the third president of Zimbabwe. As previously mentioned the term for the Presidency is 5-years for a maximum of 2 times. The President is a reasonable govt but lately the citizens of Zimbabwe think he has been showing his true colors

The Supreme Court is the highest court of the country, giving the final order in cases and the final stop in the appeals process. Below the High Court are regional Magistrate’s Courts which have jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases that involve traditional laws and customs. While Parliament is based on English common law, the judicial system. Is based on Roman-Dutch law with some aspects modeled after South African law. It consists of 5 judges, including the Chief Justice. Below the High Court are regional Magistrate’s. Courts which have jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases that involve traditional laws and customs.
