There is a new alternative in ELT methodology known as WebQuest, it consists basically in obtaining the most possible benefits from the internet. So teachers can develop an organized and well-structured WebQuest that can be suitable into the curriculum. WebQuest are based on the assumption that is absolutely necessary to take advantage of the information in the Net. According to research WebQuest are well seen by learners, but in order it success, it must be taken into account the principles underlying this new alternative, for example it is based on self-learning, fosters individual and collaborative work, observes the procedures learners use and the objectives they get, encourage reflecting thought, etc. In the planning, design and implementation of WebQuest is important for example to take into account: to add interesting, meaningful, challenging and enjoyable topics, give the learners enough time for the developing of the studies, take into account other parts of the curriculum to no affect it, introduce how to manage the WebQuest alternative synchronously, consider the learners’ language skills, tasks must be interrelated with real professional purposes and assessment should be formative.

Wiki technology helps to improve language skills like reading and writing. Most learners feel good when using Wiki technology which allows them to build learning communities in an easy way due to the proper interphase. Learners feel positive about peer feedback but thinking most times feedback have to do with mechanic parts of language like grammar and vocabulary and not so much about content. Many times learners feel they must be respectful with peers and trying to avoid comments about content which makes necessary a previously established design framework that allows learners to interact freely and meaningful. Although there is general acceptance of the Wiki technology among learners, there is still people who are very used to old methods and maybe do not want to change, in this case the paper/pencil writing to the Wiki technology, so it must be take into account that an extra effort must be done to make some learners to understand the clear benefits of the new technologies. It is also remarkable to say that Wiki technology is based on self-learning, so learners must be guided to understand this new way of learning.

Critical approach refers to the level of thought where learners negotiate meanings, learners are historically considered as passive, but now in the age of information, learners assume a different role when they listen and reading what others have to say, and according to that express their agreement or disagreement and proposing new alternatives. So critical approach can be integrate to ESL easily by helping learners to develop speech for negotiating meanings and arguing coherently.

According to research the use of blogs for EFL learning help learners to develop especially language skills like reading and writing, besides blogs allow learners to interact with administrators and participants, so it is a good interactive tool for collaborative work, as it is known collaborative work is an important trend in learner-centered education where students learn by themselves, with others and with teachers.

On blogs, learners can actually feedback other learners which for motivational purposes is good, it is due to the fact that learners may feel better when are being feedback by others learners and not the teacher, this is because of the level of knowledge teachers have which is higher than learner´s knowledge and sometimes cannot be understood easily, for some learners could be easier to learn some aspects seeing other learners´ comments on blogs than seeing teacher´s comments.

It is important the use of blogs for collaborative work due to the fact that society demands teamwork at the most of its levels, and seeing carefully many times learners are not used to work collaboratively, so they prefer work in isolation which is really inconvenient and probably not useful for society.

For EFL learning purposes, the use of blogs must be well structured, pedagogy concepts must be take into account for the put in practice of this interactive tool, for instead it is important that teachers who usually starts the writing of a blog, promote texts according to the student´s language skills; it is also important that unexperienced learners on the use of blogs receive an introduction about how to manage the tool and it is recommended this introduction be worked in the classroom and not out of class.

In general I think blogs are interesting tools which allows student to interact with others and learning.
