For my first two years of college I played volleyball at a JC in San Diego. During my freshman year on the team the coach picked two sophomore captions to lead our team. During the season their leadership skills reflected on them to be selfish leaders who lead by looking down on their other teammates and bossing around. An example of this would be demanding others to shag balls, put up or take down the net while they left practice early. Not only did they place themselves on a pedestal above the rest of the team but their actions did not affirm with what they wanted from the team, creating a verycontradicting situation between their words and actions. Rather then feeling as a united team, we were very separated. This all caused the captions to lose trust and respect from the rest of the team.

Below is a picture of how I think they could have lead our team better.
