I think I was 10 or 11 at this time. I was with my family picking up our new puppy from the airport. This was one of my favorite shirts, it was comfortable.

I wasn't good at communicating with others, and I was pretty introverted. I had previously switched between two schools, but the people I went to school with made adjusting just about as easy as could be. However, they did love to make those lunchtime concoctions. You don't have to worry about communicating with animals, so I was very excited to pick him up.

I wasn't particularly curious about my health at the time; the only things on my mind were when I would ride my bike with my friends and what I would watch on TV later. I remember I did have some growing pains, but they weren't that bad. I got in trouble once because we were playing hockey by smacking bottle caps across the carpet during recess with pencils, tropicana caps worked the best. We also hit them pretty hard, so they banned us from playing it. There was not a lot of thinking about consequences at that time.
