The Bastille was a very big and very important prison in Paris. The storming of the Bastille was an event where the third class decided to break into the prison, they were looking for weapons and gun powder. They released the prisoners and killed 5 guards in the process. This day was considered their Independence day and takes place on July 14th, they call it "Bastille Day" and it is one of their biggest holidays today. This was significant to the French Revolution because this affected all of the estates and really is what started the begining of the end.

The Women's March of Versailles was a riot against the King and Queen over lack of food and rights. This march included six thousand women who marched 18 miles in the pouring rain, from Paris all the way to the Palace of Versailles. They shouted "Bread" and demanded to see King Louie and Marie Antoinette. The women forced the King and Queen to go back to Paris so they could be watched closely. This was important because this brought France closer to achieving what they wanted because the King and Queen were in sight in Paris after the women's march.

In the midst of things becoming more serious with the peasants and the King and Queen, King Louie and Marie Antoinette attempt to flee to Austria while dressed as peasants to blend in and seem normal. During their attempt, a peasant catches them and sends them back to Paris. They wanted to flee because they feared death and were afraid that if they stayed, the third class would kill them. The king was arrested once sent back to Paris. This gave the citizens a reason to convict the King and Marie because they were now seen as traitors.

Due to King Louie and Marie Antoinette attempting to flee, the King was put of trial on the grounds of him being a traitor to France. Before his execution, King Louie gives a speech, saying how he dies an innocent man and he will not blame the people executing him. The blood that dripped from the King after the execution was caught by the citizens in celebration.

The Committee of Public Safety was a group of 12 men that had unlimited power over the country. They prepared France for an all out war and they required all the citizens to contribute to the war. They were in charge of all the trials and all the executions that took place in France. This sparked more riots in France because even though they were there to help, they advocated for the citizens to fight.

This silenced all of the critics of the new government. 300,000 people were arrested, 17,000 people were executed. The Reign of Terror lasted for 10 months, not even a year. This was full of a lot of loss and it ruined France before it could get better, a lot of lives were lost and a lot of people were arrested.
