Choose ONE prominent story's element and explain how it supports the theme of the story.
For example:
I've learned that personification is to put human characteristics to the animals or objects to make them alive and can act as the characters.
In fables, animals are personified. We know that the ants are hard-working and the grasshoppers just enjoy the moment and face the difficulty in the winter. Putting certain characteristics to animals support the theme of be prepared for the unexpected situations well as readers see how each animal represent certain actions and how they receive the consequences from their actions.

1. Today we've discussed a narrative called 'Little Red Riding Hood' where we've learned that there is a twisted meaning to the story.

2. One unique feature of the story includes many characters and scenery that symbolize actually people in our society.

3.
We learned that the fairy tale 'Little red Riding Hood' has a darker and deeper meaning. It associates with child abduction and abusive content too. For instance, the story involved a young girl wearing red, this could be depicted as a young adolescent girl dressing inappropriately, where she could be targeted for a victim. A dangerous wolf who appeared to be humble, yet, later on, showed its true color by revealing to be a wicked person. Just like a stranger who we can never trust.
The scenery: into the big woods and an uncanny bedroom reflects an iconic scene of "unlawful sexual activity".
This narrative clearly wanted to implant a moral behind the story, to inform young girls and boys to never trust anyone they don't know, and to never be a center of attention when they are alone.

In fact, I have rarely read fairy tales or novels in English. While taking today's class, I thought I should read English books in the future.

1. While reading and discussing the story of "The Gift of the Magi" today, I learned that there is a lot of content, whether reading a short story or a long story, and that figurative language is also used. I used to like books, but from some point on, I stopped reading books. Anyway, the book written in English seems to be more vivid. I learned that using figurative language makes the content more vivid.

2. I learned that using figurative language makes the content more vivid.
I'm not used to finding figurative language yet. I'm not sure if it's right or wrong. However, I think I understood to some extent.

3. Through figurative language, I was able to see how the characters acted with what kind of mind in this story, I read today. For example, 'for him, oh, and she had a habit for saying little silent prayer'.

Today's class was interesting to me. Thank you for teaching us!

If I am not careful with myself, they may bring bad things against me.
2. The unique feature of this story is a girl in a red hooded cloak with a food basket walks into the woods and has a wolf that can talk.
3. I have learned that the story injects human traits into animals that give animals a human mind. As in Little Red Riding Hood's fairy tales, the wolf and Little Red Riding Hood's traits have been put in. Wolves are characterized by being cunning and evil, while Little Red Riding Hood's characteristics are innocent and kind. Therefore, it will be able to make readers understand the characteristics of each character.

This fable teaches me that "all things are difficult before they are easy", this moral is involved to the theme. A clear element which I can see in this fable is characters, characterization and characteristic. Characters are "the ants and the grasshopper" same as fable's title. Characterize into the indirect type because it doesn't tell characters' habit, so I have to interpret. The result is attitude between these 2 characters are different. The ants are quite smart because they aren't only delegent but also have foresight which means they know the nearly future and plan to deal with it. The grasshopper isn't too bad, he lives in the present. Focus in the present is the best way to be happy. But don't focus it too much, foresight is also important thing. If the grasshopper unforget this things they will be smart too.

I've leaned that fable is a short fictional story that some parts related to morals with the aim to teach a lesson by humanized animals as main characters. In this story, a hungry dog is the only main character. The striking scene of this story is the part that the dog saw his reflection in the water and thinking that was another dog with a bone. Finally, because of the greed for illusion of the bigger bone makes the dog loses his own bone forever. The characteristic of this dog support the theme of don't be greedy. Otherwise, he has to accept the consequence from his behavior.

1. From what we’ve discussed in class, I liked “The Ant and the Grasshoper” because I learned something new from this fable. As I have heard of this story since I was young, and the aspect of me to the story has changed overtime. As I’m older, I think that the grasshopper was not wrong to have fun and play around because he just enjoyed his life, and if I was him I would just enjoyed the time like him because life is short. So I learned that as time passed and we grew older, people kinda have different aspect of life.
2. The purpose of this story is to encourage people not to be lazy and sometimes you have to put yourself at work, so that in the future you won’t regret it like the grasshopper who didn’t save and find for food during summer, but enjoyed his time, so in winter you didn’t have food to eat.
3. Actually, fables are good in reflecting human’s life. Ant is compared to a diligent person who works hard , as we can see ant is diligent by nature. If we talk about ants, people would recognize them as small by their size, but they can do more than what we think; build a big hole as their house, weather prediction as transporting their food. And from this fable, grasshopper is compared as a carefree and enjoyable animal.

Moreover, since I was noticed the implication of this story, I think being a girl is kinda hard too. In my opinion, the unique feature of this story is how the writer hides the true meaning of the story. I also ever heard about Little red riding hood in another version. The little lady wears a white hood and it becomes red because of her blood... The one prominent element of this story that supports the theme of little red riding hood are characteristics, the girl that is naive and careless with the wolf that untrustworthy and sly make the theme of the story more clearly.

The unique features of this story is about how complex in each characters such as we have a little girl who walk alone in the woods and why a little girls have to wear a red hood, and wonder how animals can talk to her .

3.

Actually I’ve learned a lot of folktales. It is splendid. I cannot choose it one. Because it has their own styles. And that is do impressed me.💥 But my 1st story in mind is “little riding hood”.
1. What I’ve learnt from the story?
- I’ve learnt the story through narration.

2. The unique one that I’ve learnt through this folktale is using animal like a wolf to refer men and signs refer to something. For instance, red hood is something attractive. And they gave the complex meaning inside the characters.

3. I still cannot moved on about using animal in the story. And, the deeper meaning still stuck in my head. Like whaaaaaaaa 🌝

1. I’ve learned that we can afford to lose something very important for someone we love to make them happy.
2. Using descriptive writing to describe how Della struggles to save money for buying a gift for Jim is makes me feel so emotional.

3. I think the “Figurative Language” is the prominent story’s element. In the story, the author used it as objects (Della’s long hair, the comb, the fob chain) . Putting figurative language in story to support the theme at scene that they have to sacrifice their precious things to buy gifts for their lover.

1. I've learned that you must never trust strangers. Even a very friendly stranger may have very bad intentions. Little Red Riding Hood finds herself in danger because she talks to the wolf and naively points out the direction of her grandmother's house.

2.Using tones to express emotions and situations

3.Using colors to play with your character's character and the use of forests and wolves as indicators of danger

- The thing that I've learned is we should never trust strangers because we really don't know about them that they are good or evil persons.

- The unique feature in the story is the characters, they represent the reality that's in society, there are not only have good people but there're always be some bad guys in that place.

- Color of characters such as the little girl's red clothe refers to something colorful or innocuous, sometimes red color can refer to something evil, but in this time red is the color of cloth worn by the girl so this red is not evil. And the wolf's black fur refers to something evil, darkness or harmful, it's normal that's the wolf is harmful because it is a predator, so the black color suits welled with the wolf's fur.
