The most important trait of writing a metaphor is underscoring the writing process. By including aspects of the writing process, the reader is able to fully engage in the struggles and victories of the author, thus creating a strong relationship between said reader and author. Analyzing the writing process fully encompasses what it is like to sit down and write a new piece, imperfection and all.

The most important trait of writing a metaphor to me is to be real. I find that when writing a metaphor, especially about the topic we did, relating it to writing, is very important to share all the real life challenges that come with it. This helps the people reading it to feel like they relate to that and that other people experience the same thing too. If I was the audience reading something like this, I would want it to be as real as possible and be able to learn from it.

During this assignment, I have found that the most important trait when writing a metaphor is for it to be relatable, understandable, and something that resonates with me and something that resonates with my peers. I think when you make it relatable, then more people are likely to agree and understand where you are coming from and it can be applied to other aspects in your life. I believe that it is important to expand and explain your thought process if it is something that might not be easily understood.

The most important trait of writing a metaphor is for it to be understandable and relatable because many people use metaphors to describe someone or something. When the metaphor is more relatable to people than I feel like it's easier to understand what it is explaining. I also believe that it's important to make relatable phrases so other people can understand a lot more.

The most important trait of writing a metaphor is for it to be abstract and understanding. Metaphors are used as a different way for the reader to see the writing and how are they supposed do so when the metaphor isn't creative in a way in order to generate a different idea. When a metaphor is understanding to the reader there will tend to be less confusion going on in your writing. It's also important for the reader to create a vivid picture in their head therefore it must be understanding and relatable.

Throughout this module, I realized that the most important trait for a metaphor is that it must be understandable. In order for the audience to truly understand your metaphor there must be a clear connection between the two objects that you are comparing whether its an implied or a hidden similarity between the two things. When a metaphor is easier to understand that makes it easier to agree with and relate to.

Throughout the process of this module, the most important trait that I’ve encountered for constructing writing metaphors is its connection to the real world, particularly in the form of activities that practically everyone can relate to. The goal of metaphors is to take abstract, often challenging concepts and recontextualize them through the lens of something much more relatable and easy to understand, and this absolutely applies to writing metaphors.

The trait that I find the most important when going through the process of writing a metaphor is clarity. Not just clarity meaning the work has to be clear but also that the clarity is shown to have a deeper meaning behind the text. I find that the best metaphors consist of simple text yet a bigger meaning behind it. A metaphor can be perfectly accomplished when the reader feels a connection through relatable feelings and a sense of a new discovery.

Throughout this module I have learned that the most important part when writing a metaphor is to go with your gut and trust yourself. Going with your gut helps bring out the entire truth and to know who you really are. Its important for the writer to be 100% truth to themselves and to not hold anything back which will best help the reader relate.

These qualities enable authors and presenters to deliver a vast quantity of information to their audiences in a creative, yet succinct, manner.
