What didn't you like?/could be different? How?

Was it challenging? What did you learn?

I believe that the certain aspects covered were useful developing individual creativity. A problem was that sanding the initial product took a lot of time which meant that we couldn't finalize our products depending on the idea which the individual had in mind.
Some more restrictions during the unit were that we had to do certain things which were connected to product evaluation. This took a lot of time meaning that we couldn't spend time on the product itself restricting main ideas.

It was unique compared to projects we've done before in the past years, and it was something that we could possibly actually use in our daily lives (eg. jewellery). I feel like the amount of time we got for it was a little too long, but it was overall a good unit as the guidance was good and the assessments were fair.

I generally really enjoyed this unit as we had to follow a clear process and the end result was nice. As it was a very long unit, this meant that we spent a very long time sanding which got tiring after a while. I think the unit could have been different if we would have had some other way to polish the pewter and make it look better. But I learnt how to keep on going and learnt a lot about pewter in general.

The speaker was frustrating. But I mean, it wasn't as monotonous and tedious as the pewter unit so it was fine. Even though my end product ended up being ugly :/. Plus, I never really understood how the electronics work because I ended up not really understanding whatever I wrote in criterion A. But soldering was okay and fun. Also I hate working on Criterion A in class. It takes too long and I never do any work cause it's boring and so I end up not doing anything and just talking (which I guess is kinda fun).

However, I really liked the idea of using soldering and more technology-like ideas. Also, the amount of time we got was perfect and I liked the idea of only having a specific amount of materials that could be used. An improvement could be that there would be a proper rota for the machinery, because I only got time to work with the machines when everybody was finished.

Pewter casting was fairly interesting but too much time was given for the planning which allowed me to rest on my laurels. if the time was shorter, I would have worked more efficiently

In general, the speaker unit went by faster than the pewter unit. This meant that I was never bored with what I was doing. If anything I would have needed more time to finalize the speaker. I liked the research as it helped a lot throughout the entirety of the project. It could have been different if we had more time to make everything better. It was challenging because we had to work with solder which was a bit problematic at times. However much like the first unit I learnt a lot of new skills such as soldering and touched up on previous skills like cutting wood.

I believe that the speaker dock unit was good. We learnt interesting things although I believed that the time we got for certain aspects was less. Also I think that we should have been taught the steps in which we should be working on the product or the initial criteria.

I liked how this unit was unique compared to other units we have had in past years. I really enjoyed the focus on the metal, using the molds and melting the pewter.

Something that made me enjoy the unit a lot less was the excessive amount of sanding.

I liked how in this unit it was focused on creating a product that many of us students will enjoy using. I also enjoyed soldering the parts of the speaker together.

Through out the designing process, I didn't like how we had to make a cardboard design instead of just drawing it on paper. I get that its supposed to make it a lot more interesting to look at, but I found it quite time consuming.
