         <description><![CDATA[<div>The main purpose of this project was to work with people with visual impairments and to make them have a better develop of other senses besides of the eye. But, connecting every activity that have taken place with art.&nbsp;<br><br>As part of the "Art and intercultural" class at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Puebla, we have worked as a team with four children for almost 3 months and to get ready and before started working with them, we have taken an introduction course, in which we have been part of some activities that would have made us feel what is it like to be blind, such as:&nbsp;<br><br></div><ul><li>Putting bands in our eyes, in order to cover them, and to take a walk inside IECEDEVI.&nbsp;</li><li>We also learned to write our name in braille system.</li></ul><div><br></div><div>At then, and as we have said before, these activities were planned to give us an idea of how the world of this little kids is and how it feels.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the first activity we made a small and physical representation of a painting by Diego Rivera. This was intended to make the children more familiar with the subject of the project and to make them identify the elements of painting through other senses. After it, an activity was established in which the children tried to capture and to project  through a drawing, everything that they felt when interacting with the physical representation of the painting.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the second activity we planned a quick memora in which every participant had to shape and build each of the pieces they would play with. They had to shape 6 pairs of figures, and after that, we mixed them and disorganized them so that the participant could look for every pair separately. After they have finished, they had to exchange their pieces with their partner and make the same thing they have done before, but this time with their partners figures. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In conclusion, in this work, children learned that art is based on representing different aspects like reality or simple feelings and ideas in forms through images and sounds.&nbsp;<br>In the same way, they could realize that a great way to approach art is through the music, this is because they love music and they really enjoyed listening to it while doing the activities.&nbsp;<br><br>In the other hand and through the painting activity, we managed to get the children to interact with us, to think about the subject and to respond to simple questions while interacting with their other partner and supporting and complementing their ideas and opinions. While doing the activity, they where talking and they said they though that the woman on the painting was a woman who went to the pantheon or who was just a single lady selling some flowers at the market, but at the end, and after&nbsp; a little bit of time, they finally said the lady was a clear representation of a Mexican strong woman, and that the flowers on her shoulders represent all a woman can endure. They also came to the conclusion that the woman was an indigenous person who lived in the mountains and whose life was completely dedicated to the countryside. Finally they also learned more about the artist Diego Rivera since they know that he studied in Italy and have done several works and murals, not just in Mexico, but also all around the world.&nbsp;<br><br>We can say that we could see that some activities were very useful to improve their self-confidence and also we realised that the most we interacted, the most they trust us.<br><br>The IECEDEVI association is a great house, which welcomes all people with this type of needs and in the same way, promotes and instructs them to be autonomous and one hundred percent independent in all aspects in order to offer them the opportunity to have a normal life. So we finally considered it a great experience to work with these children because they did not only learn what art is in a fun way, but we also realized how important it is for these children to be heard and understood, but at the same time and above all, they deserve to be accepted and included in our society.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
