How UDL and OER can be used together to address various educational gaps like equity, accessibility, and availability of technology resources.

By integrating UDL and OER in the curriculum, educators can create dynamic, accessible, and inclusive classrooms that prioritize each student’s learning needs. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Open Educational Resources (OER) can work together to address educational gaps in equity, accessibility, and technology availability by focusing on collaboration and inclusivity of the students. UDL promotes flexible learning environments that accommodate the diverse needs of all learners and their abilties, by having accessible teaching content and multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement. OER creates an opportunity for students to have access to free and openly licensed educational materials at reduced costs. Using these two approaches can have resources and learning material that are customized to the specific students needs that come from different backgrounds and abilties. Educators can customize there teachings using OER that varies from language, leanring formats, and academic level. Together, UDL and OER create a framework for more accessible, adaptable, and inclusive education for all students regardless of their background or resources.
