I did not know what discrete variation was and I did not know what Continuous variation was either.  Populations are in communities. Discrete variations are traits that can be put into qualitative categories.  Continuous variation are traits that vary along a quantitative continuum.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>3 things I learned ( Conservation of Biodiversity) </strong></p><p><strong>1- </strong>It is necessary to maintain a balanced relationship between organisms/species with their environments.</p><p><strong>2-</strong> Ex Situ is the conservation of components outside of their normal surroundings</p><p><strong>3-</strong> Ex Situ is considered to be an "insurance policy" as it has the ability to play a role of recovery in programs, if a species dies out or in the case of war Ex Situ would allow for the reinitiating of lost species.</p><p><strong>2 Things I knew</strong></p><p><strong>1-</strong> Abiotic and Biotic factors work in Harmony to maintain a healthy ecosystem\</p><p><strong>2-</strong> Biodiversity was made up by different species living in an area working with one another or against one another</p><p><strong>I found this lesson interesting as it expanded my already known background knowledge and allowed it to be built upon by new terms and ideas I had not thought of before. I enjoyed this as I learned about methods which would end up helping us as humans to conserve the biodiversity within many ecosystems around us.</strong></p>]]></description>
