This is about comfort women (korean women (ages 11-25) forced to being sex slaves for Japanese soldiers during colonial Japanese era). An issue where Japan and other countries are either trying to get rid of this part of history or accusing the comfort women as prostitutes. The first piece shown is a comfort woman crying with all the negative comments that people have said. Then the next piece is the comfort women statue, located in South Korea, surrounded by yellow butterflies as that is the symbolism for comfort women. When I came back, the cardboard had separated, but the painting was still there. I forgot to bring it in last night, but I think it being rained on was a fortunate accident.
