These pens are capable of writing, but it's no secret that people are drawn to them solely because of their design. Although they are very pleasing to look at, none of it is necessary. The main purpose of a pen is to write. Pens never needed to look cute, they just needed to work and have a practical design. These pens don't necessarily all have impractical designs, but it definitely doesn't help to have extra weight on a pen just so you can have Kuromi (character pictured above) sitting at the top.
