You can do this project alone or in teams of 2. You will invent a new festival. 

In class, you will write a text, and at home you will prepare a visual (PowerPoint, poster, video).Then, in class, you will have an oral presentation.

The text needs to include:
1. Name of your favourite festival - is it a day off (1 or 2 sentences)

2.  In what country is it celebrated, what date (2-3 sentences)

3.  What Colors clothes do people wear, what food they eat, what do people say for these days, what are the symbols (3-4 sentences)

4. Other traditions or interesting info (1 sentence)

5. Conclusion (1 sentence)

How? You will start planning your text - ICelebrate (the student booklet). You choose sentences from your booklet (other celebrations) and mix them
Then, you will write your draft. You also have to write a text, that I will pick up and grade. Your text should be about 10-12 sentences.  This text is the final copy, and you will do it in class. 

The Visual- At home, you can film yourself at home in front of a TV, or you can put together a PowerPoint, or you can draw and write a poster.

You have one week to prepare for the oral presentation, after you finish your final text in class.

The Oral presentation – You can present live or you bring the video in which you filmed yourself. Presentation dates: ___________
