Chapter Photo Shoot!

It'd be SO fun to do a chapter photo shoot around campus in the fall. We could all wear cute letters with jeans. It'd give us tons of pictures to always post on Facebook/Instagram, and would be adorable.

Movie Night

I think it would be so fun if we all got together (non-mandatory) and had a movie night! We could watch a disney movie and make popcorn and baked goods :)

Study Tables

Especially around midterms and finals, we can have some non-mandatory "Study with a Sister" dates where our chapter can get together and even invite girls outside our chapter (that might be interested in SAI) to come meet up at the library or learning center and do homework, help each other out, keep each other on task, etc.

Music Fundraiser

I think it would be so fun to do more fundraisers surrounding music. Such as create a music department t-shirt...and sell it in/around the music building to different groups and classes. Also, maybe a used music sheet donation/sale?

EBoard

We should have an eboard meetup/hangout before the school year starts! It's a bonding activity and we could collaborate on ideas!

Recruitment

We should try to find professors who will allow us into the classroom to talk to the female students for the first few/last few minutes of class about SAI! Or even find out when classes are so we are able to be in/around those classrooms to talk to the girls to get our name out more!

Recruitment Event Times

I know this can't be done every night during recruitment, but maybe we should consider having recruitment events earlier than 9pm some nights. I think if we did like, some late morning/afternoon events, or early evening events, it could help turnout increase! 9pm is late and might be discouraging to some girls. I know it wouldn't allow all of our sisters to be there every night, but it might be beneficial for growing membership.

Bake Sales

I know we are a music fraternity but I think if we had at least 5 bake sales in DuSable or Wirtz it’s easier to get recognition and more sales. A lot of students have gen eds in those main buildings so it would be nice if we could expand outside of the music building every now and then.

Social Events

I think we should find ways to do more with music! We’ve talked about singing at different places but it would be great to actually do those thing!

Talent show / Open mic

Host an open mic in one of the residence halls and invite people to perform or share their musical talents. Possible recruitment with people who have a passion for music. Maybe a joined event with PMA to allow people to see us perform and get a larger diverse crowd.

Recital

We should have a Google doc, sign-up sheet, or an in person conversation to brainstorm recital ideas. I feel like having a designated time and/or place to talk about it would encourage participation. (Or not idk I'm trying y'all)

Bake Sales

I think we should start having bake sales when the Harmolodics or Huskie Hunks have a concert. They have a lot of people who come and I think it will be a good way to get our name out and also earn money.

Finals good luck

Fundraising during finals around campus and getting our name out into the community and around campus. Maybe a week before finals go around and give cookies or sell something to give students good luck for finals.

DuSable Bake Sale

Work hard to raise up enough money by the end of the year to make some big donations like we have in the past with the Music Buildings World Music department and the SAI Pans Cottage. There could also be donations to Harmelodics, a music therapist, etc.

Caroling

I think it would be so much fun to go caroling at the local nursing homes or other places during the winter months! We could even do it with the other frats!

Women in the arts event

What if we held an event that celebrated women in the arts. (music, poetry, dance, painting, literally anything). It could be a great outreach event, and maybe something we could do annually!

We can make sure every sister has one really nice head shot, then we can take pictures of bigs and littles, and cute group pictures! It'd also be nice to have a bunch of pictures on hand for when our social media doesn't have much going on.

We should make sure that there is more than one baked good at a bake sale. By only having one item makes it harder to sell items.

We should, as a chapter, buy a table. This way we don't have to always rely on other chapter members to bring one, and it would be easily available to us! There are some pretty cheap ones out there :)

I think we should limit donation service points to 2 a semester. It would increase event participation which I think we need!

Like those take one babysitter ads you see. We can have a take one with the eboard or vpm email throughout the year so when and if people are interested they can take one and contact us!
