1. The name Rashid means rightly guided or having true faith. I think the author chose this name because Rashid loses faith in his stories early on in the book. It also means focused and intelligent. This explains why Rashid always makes the right decision for his goal

3. Khattum-Shud is the ruler of the Land of Chup on the dark side of Kahani. He is the one who polluted the Sea of Stories and preached hate towards all stories. He also passed a law in the Land of Chup called the Silence Laws which forbids speaking. The purpose of Khattam-Shud's character was to cause a conflict/problem for the hero, Haroun, so Haroun could be the hero and save everyone. Without Khattam-Shud, there would be no big villain for Haroun and his friends to defeat.

They have silenced their citizens from speaking out or changing the way things are and have laws that can be compared to the Silence laws that Khattam Shud placed in Chup City.

He also is a Filmmaker and actor, he made multiple movies including the short story of Chaipatti. Like Sudhanshu, Rashid created a lot of stories, each of them very unique. Rashid tells these stories to his city and Sudhanshu Rai tells his stories in the form of movies and books.
