1. From the survey my students took, I see that there are some students that have their parents going through a divorce, making it a little bit harder for them to concentrate in class.

It's the beginning of the year, so I think it would be really beneficial if we keep an eye out with these freshman. Like you said Mr. Webb, you just gathered data from their summer inventory project; it's highly likely that some of them are going to think that high school is just like middle school, and it's not.

One of the things that I've found a lot of success with in my class is using their phones for attendance. On day 1 I asked them all to pull out their phones so I could see who had them; of course, everyone did. On day 2 I got a plastic shoe "rack" and put it on the wall.
