My name is Niall, I live in Victoria and I’m originally from Ireland. I love Victoria and take any opportunity to get out on the local trails.

This is my fifth CACE course. I’m returning after skipping a few terms. My son Kasper was born in May, so I’m finally feeling like I have the mental capacity to take on a course while working!

In my work I’m an Instructional Designer for a company called FinancialForce. My company creates financial software, and I’m part of a team of 6 people who create video tutorials and online learning resources. I’ve been in this role for 3 years. In a previous  life I was a Business Analyst. I enjoy my job and I’m looking forward to transferring the techniques I learn in this course to my work.

If I could travel anywhere in the world, it would be back to Ireland so Kasper can meet his grandmother and his extended family back there. We had hoped to travel there in 2020 but that has been put on hold, like a lot of things! But in the meantime it is great to have the option to communicate with my family back home using zoom etc. as Kasper can start to get familiar with his family, and they can see him growing up in real time!
