Mr. Wormwood’s family is not ordinary, it is a typical nuclear family with all types of conventional notions. Matilda’s parents have a total disregard and even disdain for one of their children-Matilda. The riots between a father who ridicules his daughter and a daughter who is clever and exacts revenge on him represent a dysfunctional family system. Matilda is a brilliant girl who loves to read and study. But her parents are against her reading, and they never wanted to educate Matilda as she is the girl child in the family. For them, knowledge and education are not valued, and nurturing Matilda is a waste of time. They think that she should read less and watch television more. At the same time, they regularly try to prepare Matilda’s brother, Michael, to follow Mr. Wormwood and get into the car salesman business.
When she looks at other children's parents, they are loving and caring, giving attention to their children and supporting them. But for her, she doesn't find any of the qualities in her parents that make her disappointed. Since her parents don’t pay much attention to her, Matilda decides to punish her parents for the way they treat her. She hopes that it will make them less selfish and mean. Unfortunately, none of these pranks has a lasting effect on her parents, but they help only to train Matilda to deal with bullies.

Once a prince happened to hear her beautiful singing, he tries to find the door but has no luck and rides off from there. Her singing was so enchanting that the prince visited the forest every day to hear her singing. They fell in love with each other and one day the witch came to know about the prince, and she cuts off Rapunzel’s beautiful long hair and banishes her into the wilderness. This was so unfair to them. The prince became blind, the witch was happy that she separated Rapunzel from her prince.
