Group dynamics are typically relatively simple to navigate for service members. Regardless of what they do or where they come from, they all have bonds that bring them together.

Stage 1 will involve introductions. This stage is where the ground rules will come into play regarding how the group will address each other. During this stage, the facilitator will explain the confidentiality piece once again. They will explain that each member is here to better themselves and develop. There is no reason for anyone to feel uncomfortable or experience additional stress.

Stage 2 will involve cohesiveness. Servicemembers understand that the quickest way out of a class is to accomplish the task. Therefore, they will typically work together to achieve the said task. Progress checks will be conducted weekly during the beginning of class. The facilitator will ask questions about the previous week's actions and begin discussions regarding the healthy choices they chose to make or chose not to make.

Stage 3 will be the final 5K fun run. This fun run will be a celebratory run designed to encourage a healthy and happy tour. The follow-up for this group will be during out processing. When members out-process the installation, they will determine on their own if they felt healthier than when they arrived.
