https://padlet.com/shannon_cunningham/gelpr8nrs5992x0l en-us 2020-05-07 22:32:12 UTC 2023-06-27 10:37:50 UTC hello@padlet.com shannon_cunningham https://padlet.com/shannon_cunningham/gelpr8nrs5992x0l/wish/558681871 I have one kiddo who I've really worked with this year on being a leader.  This student had moments of struggle and moments of greatness.  When we went to distance learning, I worried so much about this kid because this student is a leader...not necessarily going down the best path!  Over the course of the last 7 weeks this student would do an assignment here and there...maybe.  This student did nothing leading up to Spring Break.  The Monday after Spring break I noticed this student turned all of the assignments in, but upon further investigation I realized NONE of the work was done.  I had a phone conversation with the student and the student agreed to do better the next week.  However on Monday the same thing happened again, so I scheduled a Zoom meeting to discuss how turning in work that wasn't done was lying.  This student agreed and said they'd do the work.  

Today, I received a text from the student "Can you help me with the math?" YES!!! I quickly jumped into a Zoom with this student and we had the best meeting. I successfully upgraded Zoom, I am getting better with the Bamboo drawing tablet when working with students and am getting lots of continuing ed done for my license and certification. So, in our class meeting last night...we had recess instead of our usual Prodigy Party. 

I learned how to use breakout rooms and it was amazing to see kids talking like they would at recess or lunch! 

I will be promoting recess all next week!
