Dance has always been apart of me, even though I quit for two years. I am included in my dance schools "teacher in training program" which allows me to become a dance teach, or I can own a dance school. Dance has changed who I am because when I have ever been in a desperate need for help dance has always been that thing. Dance allows me to be creative and express the feelings I don't know how to say. I love performing, and I realized that is what I want to do as a career path. Last year, I lost almost all of my friends due to gossip and drama. They have shown me that I can be very independent. During those times I started to slack in school and dance but after a month I realized I needed to start working harder. At the end of freshman year I auditioned for a school to get a new start, unfortunately they don't accept sophomores unless there is an open which is very rarely. I took that sign as a learning experience, and having hope that this year will be better. My teacher, Shannon was my best friends (Tiana) mom. Miss. Shannon was basically my second mom. Her passing was very sudden and unexpected due to a heart attack. Her death has changed the way I see the world. It made me realize you never know what day is going to be your last, so you should live each day like it is. Her death made me open up more about my feelings, and also taught me how to care for others more. This program has taught me a lot of responsibility. Now, going onto my third year of the program I grew an even bigger love for kids and dance. I have so much love for  teaching kids what I love. Last year, I was given the opportunity to do a dance that included ages as young as 2 to as old as 16. I love choreographing, and it was just a great experience overall. The downsides of me doing what I love was I got a lot of hate. The girls I danced with wouldn't talk to me because they were mad that I was able to take part with that dance. Also due to some of my choreography I fell on my neck, and was injured the week before recital.
