2 advantages:
-> one will then become more independent and will slowly learn to take care of then self
->will have more friends. As the saying goes at home you rely on your parent outside and you reply your friends outside.
2 disadvantages:
->may learn bad habits like smoking or drinking due to them having Friends with bad influenced
