         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lesson in which students were given the equipment and had to build their own devices. Must more scaffolded approach to the learning outcome. Another one of my co-operating teachers taught this learning outcome. They asked the students to build their devices over the Patrick's Day weekend (5 day weekend). During their next class they presented them to the class. They then went home and during the weekend improved their devices and re-presented them to the class. I think this idea is much more beneficial to the learner.</div>]]></description>

If a difficult or new word came up e.g. kinetic I would ask students to pay attention to the spelling of it. Some students lost marks during their test due to spelling. Words like chlorophyll were unrecognizable. Students were reminded of the value of spellings and literacy after the test due to this. </div>]]></description>
