This book is a blend of cyber punk, sci-fi, and a kind of LA Noire type detective story. Not the best, but not too bad.

The Disappearances

This is a sequel to a book I read last year called ”The Killables”. So far it seems to be a good sci-fi book. It centers around an authoritarian city that the main character has ‘taken’ over. There is another part of the story that focuses on two escapees, and the way the story is moving I think they will eventually meet up. If you like those sort of almost apocalyptic sci-fi books, I would definitely recommend reading this series.

The Eye of The World

This book is quite long, with over 800 pages, and around 30 chapters. I would definitely recommend reading this, however if you do start make sure to be prepared for 14 books! I really liked it, and while there are some slightly slow bits, it is certainly worth the read. (I would even say 2 reads to properly understand everything!) Akk I can say without giving away some crucial details, is that it follows a farmboy and his friends.

“The wheel of time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth and even myth is forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again.

What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.”

This book is a sequel to 'The Eye of The World', picking up a week or two past the last events of the last book. It further develops on the characters and world.

Plot: 5/5
Great. Fits right into the previously set up story and world, and the main premise of the book is set up very well. This series in general does an extraordinary of foreshadowing in general.

Characters: 5/5
You'll end up loving them, they aren't the 1-Dimensional characters that you'll find in other fantasy books, but are instead are fleshed out and have solid motives.

World: 4/5
Well set-up.

Final: 4.9/5
In general, I'm in love with this series so far. The premise is something I haven't seen in the other fantasy books I've read, so it was a welcome surprise. If you like fantasy books, or books in general, this is a *must* read. It also has rather advanced vocabulary so if you are interested in expanding your vocabulary and technical writing skill I would recommend this book.
