It had heavy artillery and machine guns with underground bunkers connecting the concrete forts. Its only flaw was assuming that Germany would come through that way and only that way and not through the Adrienne forest. Germany used this forest to there advantage doing a sneak attack and throwing the French of guard.

The battle of Britain was a conflict which of all places took place with in the sky. This battle was fought for air space as Germany planed a land invasion in the future. Althought there was a lot less British pilots fighting than German pilots, the British where far more skilled with fighting and flying planes. In 1941 Japanese aircraft and navy attacked the boats of pearl harbor, bombing and intentionally driving there planes into the boats using a method called kamikaze. As small as this air field was it played a big part in the Japanese expansion so losing it put a stop to the Japanese expanding and giving the allies a foot hold for further offense.
