This song was one of my first ideas in the last assignment, I listened to the opening on GTA 3 and heard the piano and stringed instruments that were involved to create that piece. I was also inspired by blues type soundtracks whilst learning guitar riffs over blues session videos that sounded similar. I started using more instruments that were located in legacy due to their customised settings and added effects.
I used this to my advantage with other simple piano and strings to make a wider and more interesting sound. once the Chorus of this track was created, i instantly wanted to create a jazz bass lick, so once i'd finished the drum section of the chorus, i then decided to a bass lick that would leave an aroma of funk within the song.

At the end of the song I then added the stringed instruments to add a little extra something for the last chorus to show a slight change to hint that it is essentially the epilogue of the song.

This song was created specifically for a trailer for a short film by the name of "silver spoon" Its a very basic sounding dance beat but there are a few things that i did that were bait different. The video itself does not hint at this type of music at all however when listening and watching at the same time you can see a very odd connection between the two to make it work.

theres very slight build up through the short amount of time used up on this song. I did this to show that there is a sense of getting closer to their location. when the music comes to a grinding halt it then shows the title screen of the trailer.

There is a lot of synch in this song because I thought whilst writing this song I could add a sense of mystery in a positive way. This song went under many different tunings and keys before eventually settle with the key of C in the end.

the song that plays first known as "I still love you is a country song that i wrote with the help of Calum Voce on the drums.

This song was created originally in 2015 after my ex left me (ironically) and recently have returned to the songs, removed her name from the title, and added a happier beat and it then became "I still love you" Which is basically my revamped version of my original.

The song takes on a story like structure with each chorus getting a bit more meaningful until the last verse where the words "I still love you" become "I used to love you" to show that at the end of the song, the person in this song has finally moved on and is ready to get out their again.

The song didn't originally have a bridge and i felt that it was missing this vital part of the song so I quickly sat down with Calum to discuss the bridge before putting it to action.
