         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hans Holdbein the Younger was born 1497 in Augsberg. He was the son of another great artist whom he studied under until he left to be an apprentice to Hans Herbst, another painter.  Holdbein painted in a Northern Renaissance style. He worked mainly on religious art, satire, and reformation propaganda. Holdbein became a part of Thomas More's humanist circle and soon became Kind Henry VIII's painter.</div>]]></description>
