Lord, why do you love me? For I am a sinner whose heart has been filled with so much anger, I wish to expel all my sadness and hurt into your mind and soul, and for you to see who I am on the inside truly, while my mind is clouded with darkness, you are the light that seeps into my heart, and I am filled with a great amount of hope in you still even though at times I may feel ungrateful and unwanted. Look into my soul and take away the pain I have carried in my heart and body for so long. Let my soul be freer, loving, and ever thankful within your disposition, and within the holy spirit that you have provided for each of us on earth.

Lord, I ask for your guidance and strength despite the circumstances I face each day that make me distance myself from you. Give me guidance, strength, and courage.

Why do you love me, Lord? I myself often wonder why the Lord continues to love me, yet I also find myself not questioning it too much. I can’t seem to have a direct or specific answer for this question. I won’t pretend that I don’t make mistakes, nor will I say I never sin, for I am only human. I am not perfect nor will I claim to be, and yet He accepts me for who I am, as one of his children. For that, I am grateful to Him for his relentless love.
