In February, we carried out an activity titled “My Neighborhood, My Rights.” We played a traditional game from our culture called “Yağ Satarım Bal Satarım” and a hide-and-seek game from Romanian culture. We also colored our national flags. March was a busy and enjoyable month for us. During the student meetings, we presented our work to other teams. We wrote and sang a citizenship-themed song. To send messages to the future, we planted seeds in our hobby garden. In the last week of the month, we prepared a joint product with all teams by dividing an image that included our project slogan into nine parts. The March activities were the most tiring but also the most rewarding for us.

April was our final month, and we completed our last activities. First, I prepared a scenario about cyberbullying and had my students perform it as a short play. We recorded the performance and shared it on YouTube. As part of the project, we collaboratively prepared a manifesto with the students. I also asked them to write a diary entry on the topic “A Day in the Life of a Citizen,” and I compiled their writings. Additionally, I requested evaluation letters from the parents. Finally, I uploaded all of our project work to the ESEP platform.

At the beginning of the project. Then I created Padlets to be uploaded to the ESEP platform. Then I started the meeting and explained the topic of the day and the sequence of students having a presentation. I led the process for the students and also teachers and took videos and photos of the presenters during the meeting. I managed the time for each student to present their product successfully and efficiently. I tried to make the students have a good atmosphere of communication with their partners and with the other project members. I ended the meeting with best wishes and asked the students to make their hands into hearts. I took photos and shared them with my partners.

In February, I did all the tasks with my students. I planned the process and informed my students. I explained the tasks and managed the process. I took their photos and made a collage to upload them to the Esep platform.

In the first week of February, I prepared our dream neighborhood with my students and taught them their rights. In the second week, I talked about our needs in the market event. I taught my students our basic needs. I gave them blank shopping lists and gave them the opportunity to experience a real shopping with information about basic needs. In the third week we had a lot of fun because we played our traditional game.In the fourth week, we listened to the National Anthems of Romania and Turkey and painted

Romanian and Turkish Flags. We pinned them on our board. In March, we had our collaborative works and student meetings. We attended all the meetings and successfully presented our products. During the meetings, the students had the opportunity to communicate with the other project members, so they had a great time. We wrote and sang our citizenship song together and danced. We planted a tree to convey our messages to nature in our future garden. Finally, we created our joint visual product of the month with all the project members which included the slogan of our project.

Hello, I’m Yeliz Kaçar. I work at Eceabat Köprülü Hamdibey Primary School. I’m happy to be part of this project. If I were to mention the activities we carried out in this project:

First, I checked whether my ESEP records were up to date both for myself and for my school, and completed the necessary registrations.

Then, I joined our project group. I created three Padlets to upload our project activities.

I designed a logo and a poster. Since it was my first time using Canva, I initially had some difficulties. But it turned out to be an enjoyable experience.

Later, I uploaded our students to the Twinspace using the Chatterkids application.

As I was using these applications for the first time, I made some mistakes along the way, but I learned a lot.

I prepared a list of special days we could celebrate during the implementation of our project. We held regular monthly teacher meetings to stay informed about the project.

In February, we carried out activities related to our Neighborly Rights. We prepared an activity called the "Needs Market" and turned our classroom into a miniature market.

Then, we organized activities to introduce our flag and national anthem as well as our partners'.

In the last activity of February, we learned and played traditional children's games from both our country and our partner country, Romania.

As part of the March activities, we started working on joint products.

We created a joint song about citizenship.

Later, I chaired one of the meetings that included student activities such as news articles, TV news, billboard designs, magazine and book cover designs.

For the "Message to the Future" activity, we created a Memory Forest and supported the Forest Week events with this work.

In the following activity, we did a coloring activity including the name of our project and a puzzle.

As part of the April activities, we designed a diary of a good citizen’s day.

We carried out drama activities and contributed to the joint product by presenting our Citizenship Manifesto.

Among our final products, we continued our story using the Storyjumper application and created a collaborative story.

We contributed to our Emaze virtual exhibition.

Since we were using these applications for the first time, there were times when we struggled.

In addition, to evaluate our project, I prepared the End-of-Project Evaluation Survey for parents, students, and teachers and shared the results.

There were many new applications that I used and learned for the first time in this beautiful project.

So even though I had some difficulties from time to time, I wasn’t tired — I was happy because I learned.
