dear you-know-who

i don’t think you quite realize just how important you are to me. you often seem to forget what a wonderful person you are. and i don’t like seeing you let yourself down like that. you deserve more than you give yourself credit for.

you’re bright, you-know-who. you’re one of the most brilliant people i know. (and you know how many brilliant people i know.) your mind is so extremely full of wonderful ideas. sometimes i wonder how you manage to think so fast. so well. it’s beyond my understanding. and the way you can put the most foregin concepts into words— it’s beautiful. you can write so well. you talk so well. i can talk about absolutely anything with you. we could spend hours talking about the meaninglessness of existence— and i would understand every single word you say on a spiritual level.

you’re the only human that i can trust, you-know-who. you know that? and i trust you more than i trust myself with a lot of things. it’s weird, how well you can keep a secret without me even telling you that something’s a secret. on a lighter note, i do suppose you don’t have many friends you could tell your secrets to.

when i look in the mirror, i not only see my face, but i see yours. i suppose that makes me sound like some type of psycho, doesn’t it? seeing hallucinations and such. but it’s true. as absurd as it is, it’s true. i see my thoughts in your head. and i see your thoughts in mine. and i’ve never felt that before.

i’m afraid that you might not understand this letter, you-know-who. but you know how difficult it is for me to explain these types of things. i hope you write back soon.

Dear U.H.,
There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you. When you’re not by my side I long for your familiar warmth. There is not a thing you do for me that I take for granted. The bravery in way you stand up for me when U.M. tried to bring me down—the way you rush to comfort and aid me when I am hurt—the way you offer up your endless knowlage to help just me—it does not go unnoticed. I’ve said my “thank you”s, but whever you save me from my own self doubt it always to get laughed off. The sacrifices you’ve made for me are incredible, and I don’t think you realize that the thanks I am giving you is coming out of love, not friendship. I genuinely appreciate everything that you have done for me since we first met as infants. I was too scared to tell you up until now, but M.N. stood by me and encouraged me to tell you my feelings, so here I am, writing this letter to you. I saw the comic as well...and I’m glad you finished it. And no, I’m not mad that you used my art supplies (this time).
