Henry Morton Stanley was a famous American explorer. King Leopold sent him to the Congo to steal the land from the natives. He took over troops and would force workers to do things while he sat and watched. He would abuse them and overwork them if they did not follow commands. He said he had known what he was doing from the beginning and did not feel bad for the people he murdered. He watched as soldiers, workers, and natives suffered and didn't do anything. He often drank wine and showed of his luxury's while he watched people die and overwork themselves.

Henry Morton Stanley is responsible for the death of around 10 million Congolese people. Although Leopold sent the orders and made some of the bad choices, Stanley was the one who followed his control even though he did not have to. The Force publiqe did not have a choice, they had to follow orders because if they didn't they would be abused or their family members would be killed if they did not meet their quota for the day but Stanley had nothing keeping him from defying orders. Stanley never felt bad for the people and said he did it for fame, glory and clearly power. Stanley knew what he had been doing from the beginning meaning this was his choice and he was responsible for the death of 10 million Congolese people.
