Typically, the majority of white heterosexual men from the south are Conservative Republican. In this way, I am outside of my immediate cultural milieu. Steve Gillion of the Washington Post talks about white people's discontentment with the former administration and the current state of the culture in America. In his article, "Why are so many White Men so Angry?", he writes about this issue. He says: "Donald Trump has tapped into this anger and manipulated it to his political advantage. The bond between President Trump and his white followers is not based on policy but on grievance. They both reject the cultural changes over the past half-century, and Trump’s Make America Great Again slogan signals his intent to unravel them. Last week in Phoenix, he extolled his overwhelmingly white audience as 'honest, hard-working taxpaying … Americans who love our nation, obey our laws and care for our people.' He warned that the hated media was trying to 'take away our history and our heritage,' fanning the flames of white discontent."

During the 2016 election, rappers YG and Nipsey Hustle released a song called "FDT" or "F@#k Donald Trump". This kind of music may be outside of the typical cultural milieu of a white male. I, however, find the tune empowering and somewhat humorous. I can relate to their reservation towards Donald Trump as he is offensive to me in every way. I perceive him to be a racist, sexist, misogynistic, and self consumed person.

I feel like an insider when I listen to this music. I find Donald Trump to be the worst president that I have ever experienced in my lifetime. I can relate the the performer and song writer when they express their distaste for the sitting president.

Zeba Blay of the Huffington Post writes about why the African American Community dislikes Trump. In her article, "12 Reasons Why Donald Trump Would not be Great for 'The Blacks'", she writes about his history of racial discrimination against black americans. Her article doesn't even touch on the racially controversial things he has said about other racial groups.
"Trump has attacked affirmative action on several occasions. In a 1989 interview with Bryant Gumbel on NBC’s two-hour special “The Race” Trump said:
'A well-educated black has a tremendous advantage over a well-educated white in terms of the job market. I think sometimes a black may think they don’t have an advantage or this and that... I’ve said on one occasion, even about myself, if I were starting off today, I would love to be a well-educated black, because I believe they do have an actual advantage.’'"

Of course there are some aspects that I could never fully understand because I haven't been discriminated against by the current president. However, I am a pretty progressive person, and can empathize with what it must feel like to be treated differently than someone else. I firmly dislike this president and enjoy the song by YG.
