My mom, Lina Makdesi came to the US in the 1990's from Syria looking for a better life for her 2 children at the time my brother and sister because she was in a bad relationship with their dad. My dad, Timothy Pikey's family come from Missouri and before it was that is was the land of the Louisiana Purchase which was owned by France then bought out by the US.
