There are less people being born and less people dying. The birth and death rates are almost balanced. There are also a lot of younger people leaving the country to go to the US (more specifically Florida). There aren't many social issues in Cuba due to immigration due to how little immigration there is. This has been an ongoing issue for a while but the impact of COVID on Cuba's economy has been too much and it's causing a lot of people to finally make the choice to leave.
