We were melting chocolate in the microwave and we put it in for 30 seconds. It wasn't all the way melted so while my friend and I were in another room my other friend put 2 more minutes on the clock. When it was done we opened it and smoke was everywhere. Since we were home alone we didn't really know what to do so we threw the bowl in cold water. When I was finished cooking I didn't know any better so I put the pan on my counter top. When It was cooled of I went to go clean up the pan. When I lifted it up there was a huge mark on the counter top.
