I developed an embarrassing crush on Mr. Darcy, and, as most young girls do, began to personally identify with Lizzy. This book is often wrongly mistaken by my peers as too romantic or too optimistic. It is actually a somewhat cynical book as it criticizes the way we fall in love and how society treats love.
