I grew up in small town PA in a town called holidaysburg. We were a central and very important railroad hub back in the day. Salt Lake City is magical sitting at the base of the Wasatch mountain range and on the edge of the great salt lak and salt flats. Then I moved to Edwards Colorado at the top of the Rocky Mountains. Absolutely breathtaking scenery. Now I love in Duluth, MN located on the edge of the greatest Great Lake, Lake Superior. By far, this has been the coolest place I’ve ever been. Not only is the beach about a 20 minute drive away, but there are Mayan ruins scattered throughout the state of Yucatan. The city itself is also so beautiful and colorful; something very different than what I’ve seen in the States. My favorite thing about living here is that within 10 minutes I can be hiking through woods and within 90 minutes I can be at the ocean. I’m surrounded by beauty.  The history that is in this state is also remarkable. It's a bustling, lively city on the banks of the Mekong River. Every year, in November, Cambodia celebrates its Water Festival, marking the end of the rainy season. The highlight of the celebrations is a series of boat races on the river.The boats are long and narrow, with up to a fifty or more rowers padding as fast as they can to reach the finishing line. Living here is like a dream come true: living in the midst of nature’s many shades of green; the rolling hills of olive groves, vineyards, cypress trees; observing the birds so active and noisy in the spring as they nest in my roof; hearing the wild pheasant calls; watching out for wild boars crossing the road on dark, chilly, rainy evenings; the excellent local and Italian wines; my love/hate rapport with the rabbits in our garden; collecting wild asparagus near the Etruscan tombs in early spring; hand-picked bouquets of lilacs and wild irises; getting our yearly 25 kg supply of olive oil fresh from the local press every November; abundant, varied and tasty local produce; living just a few hours away from mountains, islands, forests, beaches, volcanoes, foreign countries; roasted chestnuts in the fall; spotting hares from my kitchen window; small town festivals centered on local specialties like ravioli or fried rabbit, figs or wild boar, young wine or truffles. I have lived here in this village since I was six. I always told my parents I wanted to die in this house! So although I’ve travelled a lot ( mainly Italy, especially Florence) and tried London and love Wales, I cannot bear to move away from the house. The actual village has changed so much since 1959 . There was not an airport 3 miles away, no motorways, no coal fired power station, very few new houses, no warehouse hub. There were many lovely people who became good friends over the years. 
The location of Kegworth is very good for road travelling , flying and there are  three cities all within an 20 mile radius. I know a LOT of people round here. The village is not pretty - definitely not chocolate-box pretty ( in the past chocolates often came in big flat one layer boxes with a cottage scene on the lid!) but my house is beautiful and has a big garden . We have hedgehogs , newts, frogs, sometimes a pheasant and lots of trees so lots of birds.
