  • What suppressed wants, needs, and even memories force their way through symbolically in hallucinations for Macbeth?  
    • Deep deep down, Macbeth still wants a child heir to his title. Since he does not have that, he is very jealous of Banquo of his child and anyone else who has children to live in their name. Symbolically this is for a bright future and a powerful present with the knowledge that your children will inherit what you put out.
    1. What unconscious desires come through Lady Macbeth's behavior? 
    The desires that come through Lady Macbeth's behavior is a desire to be a powerful woman that does not feel remorse, but instead she unconsciously lets herself fall into a pit of despair while she sleeps that ends up killing her from guilt.
