2.  I live in Northern Arizona on the Navajo/Hopi Reservation.

Response: When I use signals to get their attention, restate expectation, restate a rule, or remind them of what you want them to do--as well as the consequences.  This usually settles them down.

2.  How do you make learning fun?
Response:  I use technology, or find different modes of learning; like moving around, partnering-up, songs, and videos. They enjoy this.

3.  What are the consequences when there is misbehavior?
Response:  In every classroom the rules and consequences are posted.  When the students are beginning to misbehave, I can point at the rules and consequences on the wall.  We also have incentives for good behavior and some teachers use "Doh-Jo" points.  They can earn points for good behavior and lose points for bad behavior.

4.  Who/what is your back-up system when all your strings have been pulled?
Response:  I would report to the classroom teacher any behavior that becomes uncontrollable.  But that rarely happens because they're young kids.

5.Why do you teach the class/grade that you teach?
Response:  Well I have my bachelor's degree in speech pathology and while working on my second bachelor's in family studies emphasizing in human development, I had to do observations in 2 SPED classes.  I really liked it; it was fun to work with the kids.  Now, I have a master's degree in special education.
