I lined them all together and trimmed so they were even.
I then weaved thread through the holes and fastened together. I did this by drawing out a skyline and using a box cutter, cut round the edges. To make them have distance between each layer I added stick pads and the outlined each building with a pattern.

Even though we couldn’t get up close I still managed to get images that show the creative intricacies of the building. One thing I like about old buildings like this is the texture and colours of the bricks used to construct it. For example in the bottom right photo you can see the range on the first wall, I think it would be a good colour palette to work with. The rust stained wall was after the tide went out, you could see how they made this barricade to stop the sea from eroding the cliff side. Once again you can see the range of colours on the wall which came from rust, seaweed and salt water. The other photos are from a mansion next to Whitby Abbey. The building itself wasn’t what drew my interest, instead it was the metal sculpture that was made to line up with the building when seen from the right angle.
