For many of them, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — not just to witness a national celebration up close, but to live and learn in such a vibrant, authentic setting.

Beyond the event itself, the experience brought out so many wonderful things — the bond our students shared with one another and with the teachers , the moments of growth in confidence (especially from our more reserved students) and how naturally they displayed friendliness and care in a public space. (Hi, Hello!) These are powerful observations that we can tap on when praising and encouraging them back in class.

It was also heartening to see how smoothly everything ran — from the detailed planning to the calm coordination.
