The situation happening in Iran is similar to the situation in Sierra Leone, as both of them are civil conflicts where an opposition /“bad group” is in control of the country, whilst the “good groups” are fighting for the restoration of the country. Besides both situations inhabiting a lot of violence, there is also a noticeable difference where outside countries are helping the “good groups” in Sierra Leone, but no apparent countries are helping the groups in Iran. Also the fact that Iran is under attack by another country while Sierra Leone is just a civil war.

this reminds me of of Little Women's Jo March or To Kill a Mockingbird's Scout Finch. Jo and Scout, like Marjane, are independent, strong, and often defy social standards. While overcoming the problems Jo with gender roles in the 19th century, Scout with racism and morals in the Deep South, and Marjane with political and cultural repression in Iran they all go through difficulties and they all have personal growth. These people have a desire to be heard in a society that attempts to quiet them.
