Imagery: "gate" "like stone"  used to make the poem relate more to the world and show the reader the solidity of the soul. (stone) is solid and unchanging just like her soul.

Parallelism: "Unmoved" it's repeated to emphasize the soul and how it remains still even while an emperor asks to be in.

Connotation: The speaker uses personification to help describe how the soul acts and how it makes the choice for itself.

Slant Rhyme:  Lines 1& 3: Society and majority
Lines 9 & 11: Nation and Attention.
