Increase in Rent - More residents are willing to pay more in rent if they plan on using Airbnb to make money.  This drives up the rent and hurts tenants who don't use Airbnb

The Hotel Industry is disrupted - A study found that a 1% in Airbnb rentals in Texas resulted in a 0.05% decrease in quarterly hotel revenues. Lower end hotels and hotels that don't cater to business travelers were the ones most likely to take a hit

Violations - A report by the New York State Attorney General made in October 2014 found that 72% of the site's rentals violated state zoning regulations or other laws. Both Paris and Berlin have passed laws either banning short term rentals or having inspectors visit rental homes suspected of illegally renting them out to visitors

Cheaper - Airbnb costs less than hotels do and provide a more local experience for tourists that will lead them to be more likely to return.

They also favor free trade policies, open immigration and they scored low on measures of "racial treatment". However, while most of the companies would be described as being the most left leaning Democrats you can find, there are also some glaring issues among minority representation and regulation policies. For example, USA Today found that Apple's leadership is more than 80% white and male; less than a third of its global workforce contains females. This underrepresentation is becoming worse as reports show that the race gap in Silicon Valley is becoming worse. While white women in leadership roles increased by 17% between 2007 and 2015 all other minority groups declined. In addition, it's true, that most of the tech companies share most of the Democratic values, but the one thing they disagree on is government regulations on business. They would rather have more freedom when running their business instead of dealing with regulations that they believe would hinder their goal. The New York Times article states that these beliefs are already having an effect on the politics world. Democratic leaders are less interested in curbing the power of the tech industry's reach than it did in the past. The Justice Department under President Bill Clinton had waged a war against Microsoft's market control but under President Obama, there was less of a focus to stem the growing tech giants. This app helps those who are in need of money since they typically would earn $80-100 through this app.
2. Donate a Photo - A free app by Johnson and Johnson. For every photo you donate, a dollar is donated to a charity of your choice.
3. Charity Mile - A free app where corporate sponsors donate $0.25 for every mile you log into the app.
4. Feedie - A free app where you share photos of food via Feedie and participating restaurants make donations to Lunchbox Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides meals to to schoolchildren in South Africa.
5. Walk for a Dog - A free app that lets you earn money that will be donated to a charity of your choice while you walk your dog
6. Tinbox - A free charity app that donates a dollar to a charity of your choosing. Just log in and pick a specific project. All money comes from corporate sponsors.
