•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn't’t know before?
This week I finished my E-Book and I have got some feedback for it, after looking at my feedback I have made some changes, for example I made some spelling mistakes in the speech bubbles because I was rushing threw it to get it done quick, but it won’t be too difficult to fix so I’m not too bothered about that.
After watching it myself I think I could have done a better job if had some more time, because towards the end I just wanted to finish and I wasn’t paying attention to the small details.
This week I also created my poster and my tickets for my showtime event, I have created a bit of card witha QR code on it that will take people to some of the work I have done. This will be placed next to my Mac playing my work so anyone can have a look. The poster I created is also going on the wall behind the Mac so people have something to look at so they have an idea of what it is about. These things have given me experience in hosting my own showing and also given me confidence with apriaching people and talking to them about my E-Book.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
One big problem I had on my last day of editing was that the first scene I created on After Effects was corrupted so I had to recreate it quickly which is probably why there was a few mistakes. I also recorded the voices for my charecters this week and added them into edit. Some problems I had with the voice recording was that some of the voices were louder then eachother and I couldn’t fix it in the editing and when I recorded a couple of times the mic wasn’t turned on so I had to re do it.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
Some improvements that I’ve made are the spelling mistakes In the E-Book and I also added a credits and an after credits scene at the end so the E-Book ends a bit smoother.
Also if I had more time I would have animated the mouths and maybe made some of the action scenes a bit longer because I think some the story goes a bit fast towards the end.

•Show: How did you present your work outcomes? You must Include photos, print screen or video for evidence.

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn't’t know before?
This week I have continued editing and have finished most of the scenes, while creating the E-Book I decided to change the story completely again because some of the feedback I got was that the story didn’t have a enough to it and it was really plain so what I have done to improve is: I have added a villain into the story so there is something more interesting to focus on and what my pre production research tought me was that I need to keep the story engaging so if I add an evil villain it will make the story more fun and interesting.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
Something that I am changing is the animated mouths, at first I thought it would be a good idea to animate the charecters mouths but as I found out today it’s not a good idea, it took me about an hour to animate one sentence so I have decided to not use this effect. The reason I wanted to use this effect was because in my research I found that the professional examples all had animated mouths and I thought this would make my E-Book come across as more professional but unfortunately I don’t have enough time for this.
One thing I am happy with is that I haven’t experienced any issues with Final cut yet which is why I prefer it to after effects, the only thing I prefer about after effects it’s that I can link charecters to the background so when I move one thing they both move, I can’t do that on Final cut so I just have to spend a bit more time creating effects like that.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
Next week I should be finished with the E-Book and my target audience should enjoy it as I made sure to use all my research to guide me through the making of this E-Book.
Some improvements I could make is adding speech bubbles to the charecters to show who is talking because I am no longer going to be animating the charecters mouths.
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes? You must Include photos, print screen or video for evidence.

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn't’t know before?
This week I have made the change to Final cut because I was having too many problems with After effects, I would keep losing work every day I came in and some effects wouldn’t work anymore. However since I moved over to Final cut I have been working much more efficiently and I believe if I had started on Final cut I would be alot closer to finishing. I also think my skills have improved greatly on Final cut now as I have used it many times and I have experimented with some effects.
Now that I have created a few scenes aswell I now have a better idea of what my E-Book is going to look like and I know what times if effects I can use throughout the story.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
When designing my characters I made sure to not include a mouth because I am planning to add it in afterwards in editing so I can give them an animated mouth. What I’m planning on doing is making their mouths move just like cartoons. I watched a YouTube tutorial on it and it doesn’t look difficult, it just might take alot of time. Hopefully I do use this technique and it doesn’t use up too much of my time because I think this effect could completely change my children’s E-Book.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
Some improvements I need to make would be to create some new backgrounds because the ones I have at the moment don’t really work with the new story that I have come up with, I will also have to recreate some charecters because I lost the file when I was working on After effects, this had tought me that I should always make sure to save my work somewhere safe so I don’t run into this problem again.
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes? You must Include photos, print screen or video for evidence.

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn't’t know before? This week I continued creating backgrounds and I also began editing my fir
st couple of scenes. I used After effects to edit the scenes, I quickly found out that using the puppet tool may no be the best decision as I am not very experienced on this software and it is taking me alot longer to animate my characters than it would if I just done it the way I did it on my previous E-Book which is where I create each of the characters frames as they walk.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
Some Barriers that I faced were mainly getting used to the new software and trying to use the puppet tool. What I have found is that using after effects is more risky because it is easier to lose work and it could slow me down meaning my work could be late. Some things I think went well was the way the camera tracks my main character at the start, it is quite smooth and it gives me confidence for the rest of the project as it wasn’t too difficult to create.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
I am definitely going to have to improve on my After Effects skills as I am currently struggling on the software and I am wasting a lot of time. Also because I am not using the puppet tool anymore I will have to re-design my characters so I can animate them in the way I did it last time.
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes?

Created backgrounds
•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn't’t know before?
This week I have begun production and have been creating backgrounds for my E-Book. To do this I used photoshop because this is the best software for this in my opinion because of some of the tools that photoshop has, for example liquify and Merge. I also used this software because I used photoshop on my last E-Book so this means I already have the experience on the software meaning I won’t have many issues when using it. After creating some of the backgrounds I realised that I could create some different effects and change the story a little bit which is good because the story I had before may have been a bit boring.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
After watching some YouTube tutorials I saw that I should design my characters in a different way so they are easier to animate so when I created the characters I kept this in mind. I am pleased with the outcome as this should mean it will be easier to animate meaning I save time.
I did create two different models of my main character because the first one I created was a bit basic and it didn’t look like how I envisioned the character.
I also designed my background a bit differently from my last E-Book. With some of my backgrounds I didn’t include things that would be in the foreground or any doors, I did this so I could animate them afterwards so I could create some effects to make it seem a bit more realistic.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?

To improve on my backgrounds next week I will add more detail to them for example small things like light switches, books and ceiling lights. I could also try to add some shading to create some depth in my backgrounds. Some improvements I have already made would be designing the characters differently so I can use the puppet tool on them.
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes?

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn't’t know before?
This week we went on a trip to Harry Potter world and I found this to be quite helpful because It gave me an idea of how much effort goes into creating a Hollywood film and how much preparation is needed to make sure it succeeds. The amount of props I saw were surprising because I had never thought about it before but that is how they create such a realistic world with in a set. This has inspired me to prepare for my own project and to make sure I have thought about all aspects of my project.
The day after this trip I began planning my E-Book, I wrote my script, created a story board and designed a couple charecters. I am alot more confident now going into this project as I feel more prepared and I think I have come up with an interesting story.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
I am happy with the script that I have created at the moment, i think it is suitable for my target audience as it is easy to follow and there is a messege behind the story. I also use the results of my research to help create the storyboard so it met the needs of my target audience, for example: bright colours, bold writing, simple backgrounds etc.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
My script may change over time if I think of anything I can add, usually when I’m making the E-Book I end up thinking of better things I can us like dialog or backgrounds. I might add some more detail to my story board so I can use it to remember what I first wanted from this story. However if I do think of new ideas then I may not use the story board as a guide.
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes?

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn’t know before?
From my primary research and my surveys I have learned a lot more about my target audience and as I have created surveys before, this time I was able to use my experience to choose the more helpful questions and these are skills I have acquired from past projects where I have had to research audiences.
I also improved on my After effects skills by watching youtube tutorials, some things I have particularly looked at his how to animate mouths so I can have a more realistic mouth movement and I also looked at how to use the puppet tool so I can animate my characters in a ore fluid way. After looking at some professional examples I also saw the ways characters are animated and I noticed that the best ones use the puppet tool on after effects, so this is more of a reason to use this software instead. Without looking at the examples I wouldn’t have know which editing technique is more effective

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
When using After effects I found myself struggling more than if I was using a software I was used to like Final cut. When practicing some effects I found that its probably best that I don't use them as it will only slow me down and the effect doesn't make too much of a difference. For now I will keep practicing and I will be watching more YouTube tutorials so I can master effects like the puppet tool

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
Hopefully after watching some more YouTube tutorials I will be prepared and confident with using this software so then I can begin creating some test scenes to ensure I have the skills I need for the project.
I will also be implementing all the things I learned from my research, for example I will analyse my results and use what my target audience have said they prefer. I will also use the qualitative data I collected to pay attention to small details that can make a difference, like text font and audio volumes.
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes?

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn’t know before?
This week I have spent a lot of time researching for my project. I now have a much clearly idea of what I am going to create and I know it is more likely to be successful because i got the ideas from my target audience. To get feedback from my audience I created a survey where I asked questions about things that I needed help with. I am now also more confident with using After Effects because I created a test scene on it. I did this because I had never used this software before and I needed to prepare myself for when I need this skills in production.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
Some new skills that I have learned through this experience is how to animate things on after effects. I also got to use my Photoshop experience to create a test background and test characters to practice with. After creating my test scene I a pleased with the way it turned out and I am confident going into production.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
I will continue to practice my skills on After Effects so I can create more effects during production. I also want to get used to a few other tools on Photoshop so i can create more detailed backgrounds. I will do this by creating more test scenes and designing them on Photoshop.
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes?

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn’t know before? This week I have started coming up with the idea of a new story for my E-Book as I have completely changed my idea. I think I have made the right decision here with changing my idea because I have experience in this area from the past year and I also believe it would have been difficult to create an animated Music video because I would atill have to use Music video techniques like cutting to the beat but this may not have worked in an animated video.
To get a stronger story and to make sure it succeeds I have begun creating surveys and 1 on 1 interviews that I will be able to use later on in the project to make sure my audience enjoys it.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
I am happy with my decision at the moment and I am looking foreword to production as I am confident that I will be able to create a successful E-Book. I re-watched my previous work to give my self a reminder of what it should look like and what I can improve for this project.
The main story that I have come up with is going to be a story about a kid at cal hook who guns super powers and begins messing around with them, through the story I am going to try and ya relatable humour to make the E-Book funny and entertaining. This will also help me appeal to my target audience which will be 6-16 yearolds as my main character is going through school it can be relatable to anyone who is also going through school.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
At the moment I don’t have a strong story idea so I am going to need to add some more detail to it and neeten it up, I will probably do this when writing the script or creating the story board. I also hope to improve off of my previous E-Books and use them as guides to see what I did right and what I did wrong.
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes?

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn't know before?
This week I have decided to completely change my idea, it will no longer be a music video. Instead it is going to be a normal children's E-Book about a superhero in secondary school. I made this change because I kept thinking of problems that I would run into whilst making the music animated music video. This would only slow me down and complicate my work, so I have decided to go with something that I am more confident with as I have experience doing this as well. Now that I have made this change I will be more confident whilst working on this project and I will also be able to use the skills I learned on my previous E-Books.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
Some skills that I will be applying whilst making this are the same skills I applied in previous projects when I made anE-Book. For example my experience using Photoshop and Final cut will help me create this project. Some new skills I will be using are After effects animations. I haven’t used this software before but I think if I want to improve from my older E-Books I will need to make the change to this software.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
I will begin planning my idea from scratch as I have started again, I will also need to get used to the softwares again to make sure I have the right skills for this project. If I do end up using after effects I should practice on it before production comes around so I am prepared.
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes?

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn't know before?
This week I have been planning my idea and finding out what I am going to do. I have decide to create a children E-Book and i have a rough idea of what the story is going to be about. I created a mind map to present my idea and this has been helpful for me because I have broken down each section of my idea.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
I'm happy with the mind map because i feel i have explained my ideas clearly and it has also helped me with my idea. Because I have created E-Books before this should be suitable for me and it should be a success. I also did some research on YouTube to see other videos that are similar to my idea.

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
I think to improve it I could have added a dew more details like how long it will take to do and the budget
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes?

•Know: What activity helped your knowledge and developed your skills further? What do you know that you didn't know before?
This week i was collecting primary research for my FMP, I did this by taking pictures of anything that stood out to me and that I could use for inspiration when coming with my idea. This trip was helpful because I now have a better idea of original work and how I can use my creativity to create my original project.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of?
I'm happy with the pictures I took because I think they will be helpful. I hope to use these pictures as inspiration throughout his unit

•Improve: What improvements do you need to work on? What skills have you used/learnt that you plan to apply into your work next session?
I think to improve i could have taken more pictures of some of the art because I remember there were a few pieces that I found really interesting but i didn't take a picture of it and now i wont be able to use them as examples
•Show: How did you present your work outcomes?
