The Congress was still split on whether or not they could resolve the tension, and go back to being one nation.

The Britain government issued a statement which banned the colonies from seeking land to the west of the Appalachian Mountains. This was in the hope it would stop the elevating tensions between the colonies and the Native American.

This was caused by the Pontiac rebellion, which was a major attack against the colonist due to the westward expansion of the British colonies. This proclamation enraged the colonist, for they wanted to reap the benefits of the land since acquiring it from the French Indian war. Thousands of colonies disregarded the proclamation and moved anyway, which showed how little power Britain had on the colonies.

This was the first and a series of laws in which angered the colonist. They saw it as imposing on their liberties, which had been untouched by the British influence. In contrast with the parliament, which saw it as a cost for their protection. This would raise tensions, as each side failed to understand the other person’s point of view.

In results of the rioting due to the Stamp Act it was repealed by the British parliament. During the same meeting, they created the ‘ Declaratory Act’ in 1766 which allows the parliament to tax and create laws whomever for any purpose. This act would be one of the fundamental problems that would lead to the American Revolution.

A major cause, for this event was the Stamp Act, which imposed taxes in the colonies on around 50 commonly used goods. After the Declaratory act, it renewed tensions and conflict with the British and North American colonies. Both finding the other one’s stance unreasonable, this unresolved tension with snowball into the American Revolution.

The colonist found this declaratory unreasonable due to the fact there was no representation arguing for the colonies in the parliament. This would lead to violent ax in the name of protesting, which strain the relationship between the colonies and their motherland even further.

In a last ditch attempt, to maintain their heritage and peace with Britain. The colonist sent a petition to King George on August 17, 1775 having asked to have the same liberty as they did during Salutary Neglect period, they also asked to maintain peace with Britain.

The cause of sending this petition was the Lexington and Concord battle. Having an official battle, many colonist debated whether it was reasonable to expect a peaceful outcome. All hope vanished when King George the third Rejected the petition, and labeled the colonist as rebels.

This skyrocket tensions, there was no going back. America would have to resolve this issue with the violence, whether or not they liked it or not. This also formally separated the colonist from England. America was now fighting for their independence as a country.

The Coercive acts also know as the Intolerable Acts were a series of laws enforced on the British colonies by the British government in the results of the Boston tea party. These laws diminished the power of colonies local authority, and made the colonies unable to have the freedom's they had been given before the Boston tea party.

Britain felt indebted by the colonies for the protection, they provided during the French Indian war. To account for that debt, Britain decided to seek new revenues on the colonies behalf. This led to the colonist being enraged, and creating the Continental Congress to discuss the taking of their liberties.

The initial act of imposing these laws created heavy amount of tension due to Britain also restricting who the colonies may trade with. This forced the colonist to trade with Britain who imposed a heavy taxation on them. This felt unjustly to the colonies, which would raise tensions to the point of no return.

On April 18, 1775 the British tried to seize military supplies from Concord. Having been already informed by their two riders, Lexington assembled their army to fight the incoming enemy. After the battle in Lexington, the British continued their march to Concord. After suffering 250 casualties, the British withdrawal, defeated and humiliated.

This was a direct effect of the invasive authority of the British government. Their eagerness to control the colonies enforce the monarchy ways on the developing democracy of the colonies. This led to many colonist finding it suffocating, which led tensions being high enough that a battle started. This battle would lead to the American Revolution and is often regarded as the first battle in the act of American independence.

This event lead to armed conflict due to the high tensions between the colonies and Britain.
The Patriots VS the Loyalists strengths and weaknesses

Going into the American Revolution war, both sides had their weaknesses and strengths. For the Patriots two significant weaknesses for them would be the fact that their armies were not as big as the British army and to add on to the small army such as George Washingtons army, they were chronically short in supplies, poorly equipped, and not professionally trained. On the Other hand the Patriots also had the advantage of having the battle in their homeland making it easy to take advantage of guerrilla warfare tactics to fight against the British, as well as having France support the Patriots economically and and military strength wise fight against Britain. The British also had their pair of significant weaknesses which would be the distance between Britain and the colonies making it harder to communicate and send supplies. Due to the war overseas they had to send a significant amount of soldiers over to fight against them making them more vulnerable to countries nearby who wanted to see the downfall of Britain. Although they had such weaknesses they had an experienced, strong, and well trained army. Another significant strength the British had was that they had larger population to draft soldiers from, to help their cause.

The British should have won this war due to their strong and advanced military. Not only because of its military strength but because of how unwell the Patriots armies were, they had untrained and an inexperienced army with scarce supplies.

war was inevitable and that would be because of things such as propaganda being spread around and the high taxes that were in place severely angering the Patriots. Ties between the Patriots and the British Loyalists were too severed to the point of little to no chance of tying again and specific subjects that damaged their relationship would be the Boston Massacre images spread by Paul revere and the Stamp Act that placed taxes on all paper.
