  • I had to stock the shelves up with cans, juice, cereal, and beans.
  • Taping the clients' cards on the carts and bringing them bags.
  • Asking the clients what items do they want on the shelves and in the freezers.
  • I also had to show new volunteers around  the food pantry.
  • Weighing out the carts on the scale and writing it down.
  • Removing empty boxes off the shelves.

  • Through a partnership with TXU Energy, Sharing Life has the ability to provide any assistance needed with paying utility bills. 
  • Sharing Life  helps clients pay for their rent and their medicine.
  • The number of people served depends on what day the clients come on sometimes the line can be very long and on some days it can be from 30 people or more.
  • The people I work with were helpful.

  • Volunteering at Sharing Life has taught me to be patient and caring towards others.  
  • Challenges:  I  had  to deal with is putting up with certain people who wasn’t so nice.
