Sacagawea would be a key player in a Corps of Discovery because we are heading toward where she was from.Sacagawea has good ways of knowing what the people in the discovery can eat and what is poisonous to eat. When Sacagawea was taken from her tribe at 11 or 12 she was part of the Lemhi Shoshone till 4 years ago when the Mandan and Hidatsa took her. She would be representing peace because war parties never travel with women and children. She would also be very valuable because she can speak the language that some native americans speak. When the members of the crops walked through part of her family's territory she met her brother that she had not seen for 4 years. When the members of the crops went on their journey they would find different kinds of plants that would most likely not have been known to be in the eastern part of the country. When they were finding these plants they would need to know if it was good to eat or not. This is where Sacagawea came in and helped the members of the crops find out what is good and bad for them.  Like the Oregon Crab Apple for example is one of the good things that they ate on their voyage. These helped people get a healthy dose of calcium and let them eat it on the way.


Animal
I think that members of the corps thought that the animals were strange. The animals that they had in the eastern side of the state would be different because of the weather conditions. One animal that the members of the crops had probably not seen were a lot of buffalo. The animals have a calm nature but when provoked can be dangerous. The buffalo would benifit the members of the crops by providing food and skin/fur that can be used and made into blankets or clothing.

Oto Tribe 
The Oto tribe was part of the Southern Sioux tribes who lived along the Missouri River. As Smallpox made their numbers small with only about 250 people. When Lewis and Clark asked for peace with the tribe and the surrounding ones the tribe leader said yes. The group did not have problems and were peaceful with each other.
