         <description><![CDATA[<div>We feel that it does help students, provided that the categories are set up in a fair way.  Also, we have to be careful about one assignment within a category becoming the entire grade for that category.  For example, if homework is 20% with only one assignment in that category, failure to submit that ONE assignment (might have been a one-off event) has WAY too much of an impact.</div>]]></description>
